Black spots on my Sony, what can I do?

I have a Sony KDF42WE655 model, and I get this large black spot....looks like the silhouette of a tree! Would this be the lamp? If not, what else can I check?....before, growing into a tree, it was actually a blue like haze with a lot of similar colored spots on the screen.....HELP!

    Hope you still have a warranty....For what it is worth, I have never seen so many returns and exchanges on Sony TV's lately.. Their quality has gone WAY down. Especially Sony Bravia..
