Oatmeal is very healthy! It is whole grain, meaning it's filled with good carbohydrates and has more protein than most grains.

Here is more in depth info about it http://www.livestrong.com/article/39513-nutritiona...

If you eat it, be sure you're watching what you add. Things like creams, sugars, or other unhealthy things should be avoided because it will make those oats unhealthy. I like to add cinnamon and a bit of Splenda or Truvia to mine, which adds flavor but does not add calories. A dash of nutmeg is also yummy in it. You could also add a small amount of nut butter, chopped nuts, fresh/dried fruit, or a bit of milk.

Oatmeal isn't bad for you unless you load it with artificial sugars or something. Oats have minerals and vitamins, you can add it to your diet. it's healthy, just don't load it with bad stuff. I like putting a little bit of skim milk and honey in mine ^-^
