There are some sayings regarding gender stereotypes. Who got or gets the better deal?

"Diamonds are a girls' best friend."

"A dog is man's best friend."

So...who got the better deal? Why do you believe your response? Rather, what reason do you give for your response?

In that case men, since dogs are cool but diamonds imply a gold-digger. Other than that, men have worse stereotypes because stereotyping women is considered "sexist" whereas stereotyping men is condoned and even encouraged.

I would take a dog over diamond every day of the week for the rest of my life. The amount of pleasure one gets from a simple interaction with an unconditional love animals gift us, could never be substituted for the cold lifeless weight of a diamond.

Any bloke who shares the bond with their dog like i do and knows what i mean, has a much better deal than any superficial objects could ever provide.
