I had same issue and like you I also have adobe. For mine I found that on IE on the address bar if there is a circle with a slash icon next to the refresh icon click it and click the button "turn off active X Filtering" once I did that the videos started working (I was on facebook.com) Hope this helps. (Now I just need to figure out how to get it set for all the websites so I don't have to keep clicking that button) But it seems like ActiveX Filtering is the issue (with mine at least)

The videos abruptly stopped playing in facebook 3 weeks ago. I got the latest flash player version, blah blah blah. Someone on this page said to turn off the active x filtering, Within my i.e. browser I clicked tools, internet options, advanced. I clicked "reset internet explorer settings, the videos immediately started playing!

I am having the same issue in both IE and firefox even though I uninstalled flash, rebooted, reinstalled flash, and my add on settings are "always activate". I can watch YouTube videos, but not Flash.
