In going to leave California to go to Canada?
Im 16 years old but I need a passport. Where can I get a passport. Or a fake passport or fake ID or something so I can leave the country. I already have one but its locked in my parents safe and I can't get into it and I don't want to tell them that I am running away

A fake passport will only get you arrested, jailed and eventually deported. Passports are all machine readable and computerized so fakes are easy to spot. Fake ID won't do you any good since you need a passport to travel cross boarder.
As to the act itself, don't waste your time. As a minor you will need a notarized letter (legally sworn before a qualified lawyer) and signed by your parents allowing you to cross the boarder unaccompanied...on your own.
If you are going to be foolish enough to run away, do it in your own country because you won't be getting into mine.

You need your parents's permission to get a passport and separately to cross the border. If you are running away to meet someone that you have met on the Internet, be very, very careful.
People tell lies on the internet. Skype is no guarantee. That nice young man or sweet girl may turn out to be an old man.
Do you know what 'sexual predator' means? Some young people have arrived in another country to face rape, prostitution or murder.

If you are attempting to cross the border you will not be able to because you are a minor and that requires a letter from your parents authorizing you to cross. It will be requested at the border. You do not need a passport to go into Canada you can use a Passport Card or Enhanced Driver's License if you are in one of the border States/Provinces. How are you going to support yourself in Canada? where are you going to live? How are you going to work?

Sorry you need to 18 to get into Canada without your parents permission you will be stopped at the border and turned back.
Even arriving by plane will result in you being held for the next flight back and then you deal with US Custom and Immigration

No worries. What will happen is you will get a one way trip back to your parents, likely paid for by your parents.
Go talk to someone you trust who can direct you to someone in social services in your area. They may be able to help you with options that are legal.
That is of course if you DO want to spend time in a jail.

Do it like the Mexicans and just walk across the border. Seems to work for them
@ Brooke. It's Canada. Yhe worst thing there would be the grizzley bears. Hey kid you should read a book called "into the wild" by John Krakauer. A young kid cashes his college fund and sells all his stuff and vagabonds to Alaska. He ends up dying of starvation on like 2mles away from help but was locked in by glacial melt rivers. True story.

Why are you running away? Your reasons may be justified but buddy, it's a hard world out there.
