Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Is anyone else getting annoyed at answering questions correctly, and then they ask again 15 minutes later?

Not the chain snapping guy, that was actually kind of funny. I do include the spark plug gap question from tonight, it happens several times daily. Why should we waste our time giving you the correct answer if you just ignore it anyway? Maybe we should answer all second questions like this with answers that will ruin your bike, how would you people like that hmmmm?

Update:

@pinemiser I know what you mean, though I don't care about getting picked the right answer. For nuts and bolts types of answers Yahoo is pretty good about people not saying really dumb answers in a believable manner. Fro whatever reason I have yet to find a Kawaski forum that wasn't full of those guys. Nothing compares to Porsche forums though...I'll never go back to working on or playing with race cars simply because of the people I met because of that car. It was a 944 in case any of you were under the impression I meant a car of actual value and/or had money to burn.

You should report duplicate questions. They violate the community guidelines and site usage terms.

When you see a duplicate question, click the button "Report Abuse" and select the "violates community guidelines" button. In the notes field, just say "duplicate question".

Ignoring duplicate questions does not improve this site's quality.

Some people just throw any old thing out there to get 2 points. They look like they never read the question. I try to help people if possible. Many times there is zero answers when I start and there is 4 or 5 when I hit submit. I might not be the first one, but I try to give an answer that is accurate, with useful information. Maybe that is why about a third of my total was awarded a best answer?

Oh grasshopper Frank, you have much to learn.Try being someone with a physcological background and some mechanical skills. It never ceases to amaze me at the correct "chosen" answers by the askers. What I think is happening is that sometimes we tell them what they don't want to hear and then they give the thumbs down.Being a trainer of mechanical things,I have come to the conclusion that you can change stupid by teaching things but you will never change ignorance of those who believe what they think is always correct. We only know what we have learned ,seen,or done and by trying to pass that knowledge on we can only hope to help those thumbs down people out....yes it was funny about the guy whose chain fell off cause he removed the caliper bracket.Knowledge is to be shared not hoarded

I find this is like the game of Balderdash, you give someone a correct answer based on experience and someone with an incorrect answer that has no mechanical knowledge has a nicely worded incorrect answer gets picked as best answer. Many people believe a bluff over fact.

Overall I find Yahoo answers interesting, my favorite are are the Harley questions, people get so worked up....

Well get off here man! Don't waste time if the riders are young and don't have enough know-how of their bikes! Let them learn the hard way. When I ask I listen to all advice, you've answer a couple of mine before and I appreciate it! I'm not am experienced rider (4 yrs) so I take advice from here, I mean its like getting free diagnostics if people know how to do the work!

It's important that we report them. People do that because they're impatient to get a lot of attention for their questions, but it's a violation of the guidelines.

Like old saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink from it,which is most times true on here.
