My MacBook isn't charging anymore?

I've had my MacBook Pro for a little less than 3 years now and it runs completely normal. Recently it hasn't seemed to be charging. I plugged the charger in, and it says "not charging" where it normally says "charging". It seems to charge a little bit over a long period of time because the battery percentage went from 30% to 40% within an hour. The light on the charger is also a very dim light green.

I've tried different outlets, and I've also tried switching the extension cord, which I normally use, with the shorter cord. I have also tried to turn my computer off and back on. It still says the same thing. I'm definitely out of the warranty as well.

I'm not much of a computer person and I need a quick fix!! Has anyone had the same problem before? What did you do to fix it? Anything helps! Thanks!

Absolutely - Unplug your MacBook and use it on battery power only. Keep watching the percent power left, wait till it goes down to at least 80% power left just to be sure. Plug the MacBook back in and it will start to recharge immediately. In not time at all it will say plugged in 100% charged.

Most likely battery needs to be replaced.
