Will my parents think I'm coming out?

Question

I'm in my school's GSA and there's a Pride festival where we're setting up a stand to sell bracelets and stuff for funds and trevor project money. Thing is my sexuality has been a bit of an awkward aura between my mom and me ever since I blurted out a bunch of secrets during a breakdown, one of which was me being bisexual. I've dodged the subject and denied it every time she asked so it's kind of weird and I'm not even sure myself. If I tell my parents I'm going to Pride (I don't have a license so they have to drive me) will they assume I'm gay or bi or something or approach the topic of my orientation again, because I'd like to avoid that at all costs. I wouldn't even know what to say if they did begin talking about it. Should I ask them or just not go to the Pride festival?

Best thing to do is be comfortable about yourself and not worry what your parents think. They shouldn't care whether or not you are gay anyway. Just tell them where you are going with confidence, don't make it awkward and act like its no big deal (which it isn't), its just a school thing. They will love you no matter what, just be honest.

it sounds like you might be lucky enough to have accepting parents.  If so you should tell them you want to go to pride and that's all it means, that you want to go.  It will probably make them at least think about it, but if they try talking about it be foreword and honest with them.  You can tell them that you don't want to talk about it.  That your not ready and ask them to respect that.
