Christians, isn't your belief wrong?

Numbers 23:19

New International Version (NIV)

"God is not human, that he should lie,

not a human being, that he should change his mind.

Does he speak and then not act?

Does he promise and not fulfill?"

Luke 3:38

"he son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God."

Chronicles 28:6

He(God) said to me(David), `It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my Son, and I will be his Father.

Yu say that Jesus(pbuh) is God, and at the same time he is the son of God.

But look at the above verses. Its very clear that God cannot be a man and also God cannot have a son. Here Prophet Adam(pbuh), is referred as son of God;Solomon(pbuh) is referred to as son of God; meaning that he is very dearer to God and that he is the prophet of God. This same concept applies to Jesus(pbuh) as well.

When you read the verses(in fact the whole bible) keeping in mind that there is only one God who has created all of us and God has chosen messengers from among the Human beings to spread his word, there is no room for any confusion. Why are making it so complicated and messy with all the Trinity and stuffs?

Its time you stop listening to the priests and use your conscience

@WayneT: Nothing is impossible for God. Ok,Jesus was conceived in a different way from Adam. He was born without a father, but Adam(pbuh) was born without a father and mother. Then in your language isn't Adam greater??

@Theodoor: I did not say that God is a Liar, It is the Catholics who say that Jesus was the begotten son of God. 'Son of God' is the word used in the bible which refers to all the prophets of God as you can see it used for Adam,David,Solomon,Moses and all other prophets of God.(Peace be upon them all)

    The trinity is not mentioned in the bible, and many people believe these references to a father and son simply make it easier to understand that God has many different aspects and ways of relating to people. This is all open to interpretation and so you have a good point but it depends on how you look at it and how literally you take quotes from the bible...

    I am not sure what "Christians" you hang around, but the one's I know have never expressed Jesus as being God. Jesus was the messiah, a prophet of God whom he(God) created for the purpose of saving us. People become confused when they over analyze things (stop listening to science, they know nothing but theories and speculations) God is that he is. Jesus was the son of God because he was miraculously conceived by the holy spirit (not our conceive)

    Even though this comment will be given a thumbs down like many of my comments, I will keep you and people who are confused like you in my prayers.

    Is God a liar, that you can claim that he has no son?

    Is God bound by the ideas of an Arab?

    A God who cannot have a son, but calls people "My Son" is a liar.

    Large parts of the bible are poetry, not 'hard facts'. For example "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind." is clearly a poetic verse, someone inspired to write a passage about God and his perfection compared to us. There is no reason to assume it is someone 'stating the rules' or implying it is impossible for God to manifest as a human.
