I got scammed on craigslist using paypal?
Ok so my friend and I "bought" a runescape account on craigslist for 45 dollars. The guy told us to send it as a gift payment on paypal. I know, were stupid. Now, he gave us the account info, we got on transfered all the stuff from my account to his (armour and stuff) and then he used the recoveries and got it back and blocked my cell phone number..I keep calling it from google..what should I do?

Sorry, you fell for a common scam. There are a ton of scammers pulling this trick on gullible kids on Craigslist. You can contact Paypal and see if they'll help you recover your $45 but like someone else already said, they consider this an illegal transaction and most likely won't get involved. It's like going to the police and reporting someone for ripping you off on the marijuana you bought from them.
Take it as a hard lesson learned and don't get scammed next time.

Paypal can't help you as this is an illegal transaction and digital goods are not covered by Paypal's protection policy. They are one category specifically excluded from Buyer Protection
"13.3 Ineligible Items. PayPal Purchase Protection only applies to PayPal payments for certain tangible, physical goods. Payments for the following are not eligible for reimbursement under PayPal Purchase Protection:
Intangible items, including Digital Goods"
Read paypal's user agreement
You cannot buy a Runescape account as the account does not belong to you or the other user. The account is the sole property of Jagex Games Studio
You lost your $45. Take it as an expensive learning experience
The only thing you can do is report the seller to Runescape and tell them he is attempting to sell his account. Don't say that you bought it or you will be banned from the game as well

You can call into paypal and tell them you never got your item from him tell them your situation and they will take the money from him,

Contact Paypal and tell them about you got scam. They can stop payment and most likely get your money back. Since he has Paypal account and if there is any money in his account they could refund the money. This will take time of couple weeks or more before you will see your money again.

You don't really have any legal ground to stand on. You aren't allowed to buy and sell accounts so nobody is going to be able to do anything about it.
