How will you remember Dick Clark?
I'll always remember how he introduced black singers to the public on American Bandstand, at a time when the country was still enforcing segregation.
It was a wonderful boost to the Civil Rights movement & the beginning of hearing some very, very talented people.
RIP Dick Clark.

Yes, you are right he gave opportunity to a lot of blacks that would have otherwise not been exposed to that music during those time....I will always remember him as "forever young"!.....seems like he always looked the same and never seemed to age....I could not wait to get home and check out his shows.....great times, great music and great man! He will be missed!

I'll sum up his legacy in one name:Jackie Wilson.Without Dick Clark, this man's stupendous talent would not have been showcased to a national audience.

I will remember him as the most amazing man in the world. His kind personality shined through, leaving everyone in love with him. He was a man of few words..one that didn't have to say anything to make you realize that there's not many Dick Clarks as special as him.
Great..now I'm crying.. :'(

The man that stayed so young looking. Even in his old age the still dated he looked like a teenager. Also American bandstand I hope they show some episodes as a dedication to him.
