Laptop won't charge or turn on?

Question

I've had power cord problems in the past, so when my computer started having problems charging i figured it was the cord. I'd have to position it a certain way for the connection to be made and the computer to charge. Eventually it just stopped charging. So i bought a new cord, plugged it in and the computer won't even turn on. it's not the battery, and now I'm doubting if it's even the cord. can there be a problem on the computer itself...and not with the cord?

The power jack is a very poor design in 99% of laptops out there. Subject to easy breakage. Yours needs replaced. Not cheap to have done but unless you are very organized and good with a soldering pen and small electronics, then it needs to go to a local shop for repair.

You may have fried your motherboard (which needs replacing!). When you plug the laptop in, is there a charge light on your laptop? If not, and theres a light on the batter adapter--then you know its not your adapter. I would get your laptop checked out! Chances are all your files etc are still on your computer and just need to be retrieved. Good luck!

If you wiggle the power connector and the charge is intermittent, it could be one of two things...
1) If you're lucky... It's the cord.
2) If you're unlucky... It's the soldier connections of the connector inside the laptop on the motherboard.

your in all risk going to prefer a sparkling battery. make confident once you get a sparkling one that when the battery is totally charged you unplug it from the wall. in case you enable the battery to stay plugged into the wall for too long the battery will replace into experienced to being plugged up and once you unplug it, it is going to in undemanding terms final a pair minutes if that.
