Video Card... Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3?
Sooo, I'm not much of a PC gamer. I play the occasion Guild Wars match or two and maybe some Team Fortress but that's about it as of recently. As you may or may not know, Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 will be releasing this year.
I am looking for a video card (under the $250 price mark) that will allow me to get the smoothest graphics and highest FPS. I will slowly start working on the rest of the computer but the video card needs to be upgraded ASAP.
Diablo 3 Video Card Recommended:
NVIDIA GeForce 260 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 or better

Alan is exactly right. The Radeon HD 7850 looks to be a very good $250 card. The best for that price range.
And since you don't even mention your CPU, this could be a problem. Since you seem to imply that you are upgrading your older graphics card, this makes me think you have a older CPU. So pairing up a nice new high speed graphics card like the 7850 with an older/weaker/slower CPU is not very smart.
The card will find itself being held back or bottlenecked by the slower CPU and likely will not perform as you wanted it to.

You can get a Radeon HD 7850 for exactly 250 and it will max out both of those games provided you have a decent processor.
