When do I cut off my rhubarb heads?

What if I wait till they are quite large. Is that to late? How far back/down do i cut them?

    I don't know what you mean by "heads" Do you mean the seed heads that can appear after the plant has grown? You should just cut off the seed heads because they're not usable.

    If you want to use rhubarb you just snap off the large stalks near the bottom of the plant (they should snap when you pull them) and then cut or snap off the leaves close to the top of the stalks. You don't want to eat these because they contain oxalic acid which is poisonous.
