How do I put factory Windows XP back on my laptop?

My school put an educational license version of Windows 7 on my HP Mini Netbook. Now I want to sell my netbook, and I can't sell it with the school Windows 7 on it.

I don't have any recovery media. Is there any way to restore the Windows XP Home Edition that the computer came with? It has a Windows XP sticker on the bottom if that helps.

Thanks in advance! I will choose a best answer!

Update:

The computer is my personal property. I allowed the school IT dept. to load a Win7 image on it because I used it at school a lot and wanted to be able to use their network.

When I use it at home/out of the network, I sign in as a local user.

See if the recovery partition is intact* If it isn't you should buy an XP disk and install with that, they're very cheap now!

*1. Reboot, and repeatedly press F10 at the HP logo until the recovery screen appears.

    2. When the recovery screen appears, press "Next" and then "Yes" to perform a non-destructive recovery (all data saved). After the recovery is finished, the laptop will reboot.

Or to perform a destructive recovery, (***This will erase all your unsaved data!***)

    Click "Advanced" and then "Yes".

After the recovery is finished, the laptop will reboot.

    Or

Reboot, and repeatedly press F11. Follow on screen prompts.

Go back to the IT person and tell him (or her) that you want Windows 7 removed and Windows XP put back. They never should have done that upgrade to begin with (not exacly legal as it was not school property) plus there was no reason why XP could not have accessed the network.

Is the netbook actually your personal property (that you or your parents purchased) or does it belong to the school? If I were a school student, I would never allow my school to change anything on my own personal computer. I would simply tell them, if asked, that I have no computer
