What if Santa Claus was black?

I'm just asking, sorry if I offended some people.

Cool. Black, white, Asian, Chinese, green - I don't mind. He's a nice guy, that's what matters.

What if he was? He's a fictional character so it's not like he can't be any race/ethnicity you want him to be.

Instead of leaving him milk and cookies paranoid white people would wait up with a gun.

Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th century Greek Christian bishop of Myra (now Demre) in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes.

Few recall that santa is based on an actual guy who was not black.
