Getting crib set up safe for 7 mo old ?

My 7 mo old is just about to crawl and he has made a new habit of rolling around in the night. He won't go down without blankets. But now he gets all wrapped up and tangled in his blankets. Just dressing him warm doesn't help, I need some creative ideas.

i have almost always given my son a blanket in his crib, what i have done though, is given him a small one, thats just big enough to cover him up, its a knit one so it has holes so that even if he does get caught in it he can still breathe just fine, he m ostly likes to hug it and snuggle it more than using it to keep warm so this works for us,at 7 months though, and mobile enough to push up, roll around or otherwise free himself, a blanket should be fine for him

As much as I kind of hate to say it, but you might have to look into those blanket suits and hoping a muslin sheet is enough to comfort him for falling asleep. If all else fails you could bring him into your bed and co-sleep so you can make sure he's safe.
