When will people stop being so selfish, childish, and ignorant?

Probably never. We can work to help change our system so that it is better and work to compliment our good side, however.

The Founders ate political incivility for lunch everyday.They fought with each other harder and were meaner then anything we have seen today.Yet they wrote the Declaration of Independence,broke free from England and gave us the most brilliant document ever written.The Constitution of the United States of America.What they had that we do not have is,our politicians are greedy,have only their best interest that they care about,not the countries.We have two political parties when we should have 10 or 12.The Founders compromised for the good of the nation.Politicians today will not compromise because all they think about is filling their own pockets.

I had a discussion with one of my most liberal friends the other day and we decided to role play political compromise. We reached several in a few short minutes. Granted, we were talking fiscal matters and not social issues but it was an enlightening experience.

Most of the decent folks have abandoned politics for solving our own problems.
