Is it worth going to the doctor for this?

Since the beginning of the week, I got sick out of nowhere. I have a sore throat with red bumps, on and off fever with chills, headache, coughing (sometimes productive), my nose isn't too runny, earaches, and now it hurts my neck/throat a lot more when I cough. I'm really fatigued but can't sleep, and it sometimes hurts my chest to breathe in and cough. Is it just a cold or should I go to the doctor for it?

All of your symptoms sounded like a normal cold or flu which can be cured with over the counter cold syrups, until i read the pain during inhalation, which isn't accompanied with colds or flus. you could have an infection of some sort and need prescribed antibiotics, so i suggest seeing your doctor. get well soon!

I would definitely go to the doctor, especially if it doesn't feel better when you get up tomorrow. Alot of illnesses start off looking like a cold, but better to be safe than sorry, especially with a fever. Feel better!

Yes. If your having trouble or pain breathing I recomend either hospital A&E or your doctor first thing.

It could just be a really nasty strain of the Flu but trouble breathing is something you need checked.
