Conservatives, Is it time to admit that trickle down economics doesn't work?
We have the most unequal distribution of wealth in the industrialized world, record corporate profits, and a bull market
with so much wealth concentrated in so few hands, isn't that wealth supposed to trickle down?
honestly what makes you think it's going to work?
prosperous economies always came from a strong and growing middle class. they buy the products that the rich make which enhances economic activity. This recovery is in a slump because of weak consumer demand, NOT that the rich don't have enough. If anything wealth trickles up
never got a job from a poor man? well duh
who did you get a job from? a rich man
where did the rich man get that money from? consumers
is obama the most business friendly president? no
but the fact is that the one percent or so called job creators have an unprecedented amount of wealth which is more than enough to create jobs
@matthew- as i said before, so much wealth is cocnentrated at the top that regulations shouldn't even matter.
btw you don't want any environmental regulations? ok have fun living in a polluted planet

given which you don't understand that the suited 25% of the salary earners pay approximately seventy 5% of the taxes already. the backside 50% pay an entire 3%. So how is increasing the suited earners going to do something while this is been shown that tax will develop shrink the national sales from those taxes? meaning those with the better wages will take their company distant places the place they are able to make extra, thereby reducing jobs for people who % them to stay on. on condition that Bush's tax cuts the place no longer purely for those making over 250K, yet Obama's proposed will develop have been for those making over 250K, yet with each and all of the charges recently exceeded will value those making much less extra in fairly product expenses. Yup super thought, positioned extra economic stress on people who have been the "center-classification" by using expiring the tax cuts. you need to to do extra analyze in this count.

I agree strong economies come from a strong middle class, but who is destroying the middle class?
First, what is the the middle class. I would define the middle class as the non-college educated hardworking class. These are the auto mechanics, electricians, construction workers etc. The problem is that manufacturing used to be a huge part of the middle class. That is no longer the case. Why? Government regulation and strict environmental standards make it impossible for manufacturing companies to be profitable in the US. Manufacturing moves overseas and democrats blame the Manufacturing companies rather than looking at what they may have done to cause them to go over seas.
Who wants to lower regulation and roll back strict environmental to increase manufacturing jobs in the US, the Republicans. Democrats, who have held the Congress for the majority of the past 100 years, have gotten the economy that they wanted. They have driven jobs overseas, rather than try to attract them. They have obstructed any real plan to use more of our own resources.
Trickle down economics work, but only when the wealthy feel confident in the leadership of the US. If they are scared to invest due to a chaotic domestic policy, or run away regulation, they will sit on their money and have. Obama has not introduced certainty into the marketplace, only uncertainty. The wealthy can afford to sit on the side lines until a president comes along that can ensure a more stable investing environment.
If someone wanted you to play a game, but changed the rules constantly, would you play?

Your idea of trickle down is to take from those who worked hard for what they have and give to welfare queens popping out kids with "babies daddies".

using feelings to make your "point" doesn't work either....
Apple, Intel, Microsoft.....all creations of a supply-side economy....
Computers, mobile phones, large-screen TVs and many other things that are "necessities" today all existed in 1981....but you had to be phenomenally wealthy to afford one...and last time I checked "consumers" needed money to actually "consume" things....
....you're welcome...

It worked for me. If you think you can sit on your azz and get wealthy, that is not trickle down economics; it is Democrat stupidity.
