Potty training, 3yr old boy want poop in potty, Help?
For the last 6 months we have been trying to get Lucas to go poop in the pot. He's only gone once or twice in the pot that I know of. His parents are not together anymore and his mom tells me he does this in her home as well. Any suggestions? She has a dog and a cat, but we don't have either one. So other than him thinking its o.k. to go in the closet or behind a chair I don't know what to think. Again thanks for your time and any help you could give grand ma.

Does your youngster seem to be interested in the potty-chair or toilet, or in wearing underwear?
Potty Training is a massive step for youngsters and parents alike and the secret to success is this https://tr.im/Lwmhd .

She has particular sections in the plan for unique wants kids (autism, down syndrome etc) and also a segment specifically for twins/multiples, and older kids who may be more difficult to train.
The best portion of the system is the “bumps in the road” part, which each and every potty training mother or father will face for the duration of potty Trainingso this program is the very best plan for your kid.

If he has been pooping in his underwear every day for the last 6 months, then he may have a problem and you should talk to the pediatrician about it.
If he's been wearing a diaper for the last 6 months then he is not potty training. Diapers are for pooping in. He knows that. So, if he's wearing one, he'll poop in it.
If he's not wearing a diaper, he'll realize his only choice is to mess himself or use the potty. He'll learn inside of a week that its easier (and cleaner) to use the potty.

Have him sit in it for like 40 minutes when he poops, (STOP putting pull ups on him.)
After that, you should let him run around bare naked so he see's you have to go on the potty .

All you have to do is to say go on potty and poop and he will listen

You could try getting those smaller toilet seats that fit on top of the bigger toilet seat so he can sit on the toilet just like grownups...that might encourage him. You can get him a small stepping stool to use if he's too short for the toilet.....Reward him every time he uses it successfully....Be patient with him, he's going thru the separation of his parents too.....If you loose the pull ups, things will go faster also; let him wear regular underwear.
Source(s): Mom who never used a pot, only kiddy toilet seats and fastest potty training for me was when the kid was only in underwear.....one week and I was done. Its messy but it works faster. - Anonymous9 years ago
