Aren't Atheists living proof that Christianity is not right?
Since most of the Atheists (at least 99% of the ones I see on this website) used to be Christians and their number seems to be growing fast, and since they've actually read the Bible and have become Atheists "because of" reading the Bible, doesn't this prove that if other Christians read the Bible, they would renounce Christianity?

If a god wanted everyone to believe and knew exactly what was needed to convince people, then why are there atheists at all? Is god unable to prevent transgression of his will?

No, It is clear by what is written on most posts here that most of the people in this forum have never read the bible, especially the young atheists who seem to get most of their ideas from videos and websites. I doubt most of them even read books by atheists if you see how the refuse to read half a page of text posted in a question.
I have read the bible and is a Christian, so no, reading the bible does not turn you into an atheist. Why would it, the bible does not deal with scientific proof for God, it deals with faith. If you disagree with the bible it does not mean that there can be no god, there are several other options, like: you might be wrong, the specific book might only be partly true, the reports of God might be wrong, there can be another god etc., but the bible can never be taken as scientific proof for a negative thereby turning you into an atheist.

No, because priests, preachers, and even many religious fundamentalists have read the bible. The differences between religious people, fundamentalists, and atheists is how they relate the bible to the world. For example, most religious people will use the Bible as a foundation; they combine it with reason to interpret (I don't mean this in a loose way - they do believe it strictly, but they ask "why" of it) the words and relate it to reality. Most atheists and religious fundamentalists do not interpret the Bible, instead taking it at face value, applying very little reason in an attempt to understand how there can be such "blatant" contradiction in it (my point being that there really isn't much contradiction if you aren't disposed towards it being there). Of course, those who take the Bible at face value either still believe in it (fundamentalists) or reject it (atheists).
Naturally, I would say the atheists are right to reject the Bible when interpreting it at face value. However, I would like to point out that, when most people say, "I've read the Bible," they mean "I've read passages from the Bible."

So do the atheists who have read and dismissed the Qur'an, or left Islam to become atheists prove that Islam is also 'not right'?
Many Christians have read the Bible and remained Christians, some atheists have read the Bible and become Christians, so your argument doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

It does prove that all of these young atheists have a very poor understanding of the bible, that is if they really read the book as most of them claim. It appears that most atheists here believe that they are supposed to take the book literally and therefore can not believe it.

Sorry to take you to job right here, yet ... "If Jesus became raised from the useless, then what He stated about himself could were real." YEP - IF. the purely "data" of this adventure is from the Gospels and the Pauline Letters, and those were written by adult adult males who believed that Jesus became the Messiah. not what i ought to call purpose data by a lengthy shot. What different data do you've? i'm not putting forward so that you are able to not settle for the Bible as real, in spite of the indisputable fact that it extremely doesn't function very sturdy data to attempt to convince those who do not. i wish that you're literally not a legal specialist. "If Jesus Christ became easily raised from the useless, there is little want for further debate." back - IF. you may believe that he became; others would believe that he wasn't. Therein lie the grounds for a debate. "it really is not any exaggeration to assert that the Christian faith rests on the actual fact of Jesus' resurrection." it really is a element that i will accept as true with you on. And if there is not any resurrection, then there is not any Christ. "Paul, who wrote most of the hot testomony, stated that his finished ministry should be worthless if the resurrection had not taken position." So then that's yet another element of settlement - that Paul is to blame for the type of Christianity and if his ministry is incorrect, then it really is worthless. And no, this isn't a "historic fact." it really is the position you extremely screw up. there is not any historic help for this adventure previous the writings of the hot testomony. or maybe those New testomony writings got here a lengthy time period after Jesus died. Why see you later in getting round to telling the tale? "If those statements are real, then something that contradicts them can not also be real." And if what contradicts them is real, then those statements can not also be real. yet one does not ought to disprove the statements; because you're making the argument, you have to be to blame for providing adequate help on your claims. "If what Jesus stated about Himself is real, then Christianity is real," "If Jesus Christ became easily raised from the useless, there is little want for further debate." a lot of "IF"s on your argument, are not there?

No, atheists aren't proof of anything. I do appreciate your using scientific logistics to provide support for your question (at least 99%).
If Christianity is not right for YOU, then you have a right to choose another religion. You have a choice of religions, or not, in this country.
Isn't America wonderful that way?

I've been raised in a virtually 100% atheist community (UK) where teaching the Bible in schools has now been virtually banned. I think that proves how ridiculous the Bible is. I typed in "Creationism" into YouTube and watched a 10 minute animation...I think the greatest mystery is how anyone believes it when it is illogical, irrational and most of it has been proven wrong.

Most of the people using this website are American or European, which have a largely Christian history.
I think you'd fine plenty of atheists in China, Japan, Korea and other places with no Christian background.
And plenty in Muslim countries - they just keep it quiet so they don't get murdered.

to be honest, they actually prove the bible. All "men" are fallen, inclined to hate God. Any of us can read the bible, but only those who have the Spirit of God working in them will be given faith to believe/understand it. Faith is a gift! Without God accomplishing His purposes in our lives none would believe. The elect believe and the bible tells us the others have their eyes veiled by their father the devil. So thank you atheists for strengthening my faith. How humbling for me to know that although 'many are called (ie will hear about God) only few will believe'. Thanks be to God that He has chosen me to believe, wretched man that I am!
