My dog has a cut on the tip of her tail?
It has been there for about 4 days. I clean it with antibiotic creme and hydrogen peroxide, and it won't heal up. Today I sprayed on some liquid bandage, that is meant for horses. A friend told me that this helps sores. Will this help it heal?
She is a 3, almost 4, year old Labrador Retriever. Her tail never stops wagging, so this doesn't help the situation.

The most important thing to watch for is of course infeciton (redness, swelling, discharge, lethargy, loss of appetite, etc). Hydrogen peroxide is a poor disinfectant for many bacteria, and also causing major cellular damage. You will not find a vet who would recomend using it. Use mild water with soap and rinse well.
If it looks clean, and no signs of infection, you can try bandaging it, though on the tail this is hard to do.
Give it some time and it will heal, but if any signs like above show, or it isn't healing, of course go to your pets dr.

You may need to bandage it if it keeps hitting things from the tail wags. Make sure you keep it clean. If it doesn't seem to be healing, take the dog to the vet. There could be underlying problems with your dog's health. Diabetics don't heal very well. Dogs can be diabetic too.

Life style is often part of the issue. Life style changes now could delay or prevent you from getting diabetes later. Learn here https://tr.im/W89qR
What you eat is not actually the cause of diabetes, but how you live can be. If you sit on the couch all day, your chances of developing diabetes goes up greatly.
Just do the best you can to not gain weight and to maintain an active life style and that will greatly help reduce some of your risks.

You should let the dog lick its own wounds dont let it bite it or lick it to aggressively. Saliva is a instinct even humans have and the Saliva has enzymes that help cure wounds.

It will heal, just leave it alone
