1983 nighthawk 650 problem?
my bike runs fine until the tach turns off out of nowhere and it runs terrible, and when you turn on the turn signals it will run ok until the light blinks off. any ideas?

The tach is most likely an electronic one, which receive their signal from the ignition coil. The direction lights have nothing to do with the ignition or tach circuits, so I'd be looking for a loose or corroded connection in some ground wires. What's probably happening is that when you operate the direction signals, the ignition is gorunding out through the signals.

Check the engine and frame grounds, always make sure your battery is full and connections are clean.
