What would you be willing to pay?
Project Polo is starting. The fleece is on the way.
I'm trying to determine prices, though. It will cost me roughly $10 per pair to make them. That being said, I was going to make my original price $12 or $13 for the pair. Not too much of a mark up, but enough to keep me going.
I'm thinking about donating to a horse-related nonprofit (currently still unknown, maybe along the lines if United Pegasus or CANTER). Would $20 a pair be a ridiculous amount if $5 per pair was going to the nonprofit? Or would it be better to do $15 with only $2 per pair going to the nonprofit?
My basic question... should I donate to a nonprofit with this project of mine? If so, what price would you be willing to pay? And, what organizations would you like to see on the list?

No, 15$ would be a super reasonable price... you can probably
get away with 20$ a pair if they are nice colors and are quality
made. In most of the tack stores of my area, decent polos cost
at least 25$. Used, they sell for 5-15 bucks !
Donating would be a nice idea if you really want to... I am sure
people wouldn't mind 20 bucks if they knew you were donating
money. Maybe do a deal, 20$ for a pair or two pairs for 35$ ?

You're saying that it's going to cost you $10 to make them? What if you charged $15, pocketed $2, and then gave $3 to the non-profit organization. I have an organization that I would love for you to donate to. But I don't think you live in the area so it probably wouldn't matter.

I don't think that would be ridiculous at all. Good for you, for donating some of that money. I think $15 is reasonable.

I'd pay $20 if I knew it was for a good cause.
Another thing to consider would be doing tail wraps.
Good luck!
