Norse Paganism: What do I do?

I was raised christian and Im sick of all the hypocrisy involved and my ancestors are from germany so I kinda figured "Hey they probably were followers of the norse gods". I'm agnostic now but would like to get into norse paganism but Im at a loss as to where to start and what is the modern take. Id rather follow the old way than the modernized version.

You know, people usually convert AFTER they study and get to know a religion.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but little is known of the old ways. What knowledge we have of Nordic beliefs is heavily mixed with judeochristian dogma, so it's hard to separate out the two. http://www.asatru.org/ This is an excellent resource for the modern nordic religious movement. Best of luck, and may the allfather watch over you.

You might run into a few objections when you want to perform the Blood Eagle on your enemies, but why not? It makes as much sense as most other religions.
