Why is the politics section trolled to oblivion by conservatives?
You can't ask a serious question without having talking points parroted at you incessantly, which, while an interesting study of the occasional hive mind like qualities of politics, hardly makes a good discussion.
Oh, I know it happens on both sides, but when you look at the votes on an answer there are always tons of negative votes on even the most well reasoned and level headed argument if it's anything but the most conservative.
I also spend a lot of time on R&S and we mostly troll the trolls. There's a difference in trolling a troll(the proper response) and just being a massive ******** on a serious question about differences in ideology. We get an awful lot of stupid questions in R&S and stupid questions only deserve to be responded to with snark and sarcasm.
Libertard, what did I say about parroting talking points?
I'd like to thank you all for mostly proving my point. Seems most of the trolls found someone better to annoy, but I got a few of the more subtle ones.

Sir, I just reviewed some of your Answers to Recent Question, to help me figure out what your Opinion of Good Debate and Factual Answers were.
The first one you answered with "is there a Union for Professional Protesters?" The person made a Valid Point...that if a CAUSE was so important, why would People have to be paid to Show UP....You could have OFFERED a Useful REASON why that would be or you Could have ACCEPTED that is was LOW and does not Show Well for the Cause...but you chose "is there a Union for Professional Protesters?"
Helpful.
And the next Question I opened, your Answer was: what's the big deal about a 20% difference.
Once again, that is Helpful, Literate Debate on your Part? That is an Answer that addresses, yet Another Concern by someone, that USED actual Numbers and Fact to Elicit Participation?
And it's not a 20% Difference for the Record. If something is a MINUS to one side and the other is a Plus the Other way, and as with all Percentages you have to figure in the Size Difference there would have been a 66% DIFFERENCE on that particular Issue.
BUT, it is Rhetoric and Denial that I see in your Answers even though you are Grilling others for doing it.
Thanks for the Question, and the Opportunity to Offer you an HONEST, Informed Answer.

If I had to guess, it's because a Liberal is in the white house and everyone (no matter if they are Liberal or Conservative) likes to bash the current sitting administration. I'm not positive, but I would think a few years after Obama is out of office (assuming he is followed by a Republican), you will see the opposite. I'm glad that at least some people can acknowledge that Liberals can be just as bad at spewing angry, hate filled rants as Conservatives. I live in California, and sometimes it seems like any angry message board where you can't really say anything without getting peoples political manifesto.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

You haven't been reading the liberal side of parroted comments and questions. Most don't even make sense enough to discuss.
I would like to have valid discussions, but alas, that doesn't seem to happen very often.

Religion & Spirituality and Military sections are proper troll breeding grounds

Liberals do it too.
I can't think of a better example than the Religion and Spirituality section. 99% of it are insulting atheists.

You caught a good time when there are LOTS of us on at the same time. Count yourself blessed, and learn from Conservatives for a better America!
