My Cat gave birth.. i'm confused, i need help!?
Okay so my cat gave birth two days ago, to surprisingly eight baby kittens. this is her first time getting pregnant and giving birth, i read that the cats first time giving birth it's usually a very small number of cats from 1-4
and then the weird part is, the mother who gave birth, has a sister, who has been sleeping with her and with the kittens, it's very confusing.., is it normal? please help!

The whole sister thing is normal. The fact the she had 8 kittens is not normal, but not a problem. If the sister wants to help, let her, its fine. Also, the best thing to do is to put the mother and the kittens in a safe place like in a box and let the mother do her thing. If you see her ignoring the kittens or not letting them nurse try petting her and keeping her calm while the kittens nurse.
If the mom carries the kittens around, that is so normal, she will more then likely move them all to another place. But sometimes one gets left behind, just make sure the kittens stay together and eat.
P.s. feed the mom often as well. The more food she has, the more milk the kittens have

When I Was Four, I Had Two Adults. Then, One Gave Ten Kittens Birth. I Suggest... That You Should Check The Internet If That Is Normal... Like Search On Google. But Yes, Its Sort Of Normal.

caring for kittens is very stressful exspicially for a first time mom.
make sure all of them are getting a turn to eat and cared for.if the sister is not causing any harm leave her she is probaly helping to clean and look after the kittens and is a big stress reliever if this is so she might make a great mom too!
Think lion pride all the females help take care of each others young if they have theyre own they might even feed them (meerkats too) playing babysitter while the other is away is common as well
Most people seperate the new family but i think what you are doing is just fine your kittens officialy have and aunt CONGRATS

you are able to no longer truly tell by utilising the quantity of kittens in simple terms yet.. it may take as much as two to 6 hours to furnish a muddle of kittens. yet there can be a 'pause' or hollow between the deliveries which you will look ahead to. a area of interest like it is asserted as interupted exertions and could final 24 to 36 hours. in this time the mummy will pay interest to her kittens or perhaps consume and drink and potty for the duration of that element. After that quantity of time, exertions will resume and something of the kittens would be born. At this element, you are able to probable experience if there are anymore kittens in her abdomen. If she is going by using extreme exertions for longer than half-hour without producing a kitten, then it's time to call your vet. it is not uncommon for a mom cat, if she is under pressure or distracted, to end exertions and resume the transport of something of her kittens day after today.

It is very normal. The mother cat's sister may even try to nurse the kitten's her self. Some of the cat's and dog's I've had in the past have done it. I've even had a dog with new puppies to nurse a stray kitten almost a month older than the puppies.
