Have you tried self-hypnosis for losing weight?

i was thinking about getting 1 of those cd's. I exercise on a cross trainer and do 10k bout 3 times a week. My diet is o.k could b better but not that bad. But not really losing anything at all and it's killing me. I am waiting for blood test results to see if there is a small prob. Has anyone ever used a cd and does it work?????????????
