Does it hurt a lot a week after getting your braces taken off?
I'm getting my braces taken off in a couples months, thankfully!
However, they're getting taken off six days before I'm participating at a panel at a convention.
It's an hour long panel and I'll probably talk a decent amount (though, I'm not the host, but it's a Q and A and there's a large chance that I'll be asked a handful of questions).
Will it hurt too much to talk? Will I have trouble talking? I just want to plan ahead so I can tell the host and plan to participate in a more silent way if I have to.
Thanks!

It did not hurt *at all* immediately after nor a week after I had my braces off. The only difference is you'll have a wire permanently placed behind your teeth, and you get used to it within a few hours. Congrats on getting your braces off.
