Had some that liked me and I had to say it up straight that it won't work, don't like you more than just a friend, etc. And as for me liking someone, I had no problems that way either...one can flirt or just be direct with words so as not to make a big delayed deal about it all. I am straight but have been accused of being gay since I rejected their moves. So, you cannot ever be guaranteed that your unwanted admirerer or your eye candy might not get all offended how ever way you approach it.

Well, I think you should do tell her, see what happens, she might say yes, there is no shame in trying in my opinion, as for this boy, I think it is best to tell him you don't like him that way, keep telling him until he gets it, he won't be able to do anything without repecussions, and sorry, I really don't know what that is like so I cannot offer you much firsthand experience.
