Do you think it's a little unfair to bid on an item instead of always using Buying It Now" on ebay?

I don't think it's unfair, but I wonder if some sellers get annoyed that sometimes the buyer can get a lower price for the product. Although used items/parts should be lower anyways.

If you really want it, you'll use the buy it now. Otherwise if you want it at a lower price, if you can get it, then you take your chances. Sometimes when you bid, the "buy it now" option disappears. I've seen items actually go for more after the bidding started, than the "buy it now" price was. As an eBay buyer sometimes I choose buy it now to make it mine, other times I'll take my chances. Usually the seller is happy that someone bids so it sells!

That's just a part of putting something up for auction. Sometimes it sells for less than you would like, but it's usually a lot faster than trying to find a local buyer on craigslist.
