Happy 52nd Birthday to Bono! In honor of his birthday, what's your favorite U2 song or concert memory?

For fans only -- What's your favorite U2 song and/or concert memory?

I literally don't have a favorite U2 song... I like them all for different reasons. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the original version of "Bad" from Unforgettable Fire.

My favorite concert memory was from back in 2001 during the "Elevation" tour. My brother and I had floor seats just outside the heart that circled the stage. During "Until the End of the World", Bono charged at Edge like a bull as Edge played the soaring guitar that ends the song. At the last few chords, Edge's chords knocked Bono to the ground and Bono started kicking at Edge's guitar, making a great noise. At the very end of the song, Bono put his mic up to Edge's guitar and the feedback screeched through the arena. The whole place erupted. Before the final encore, my brother started singing the chorus to '40' (How looooonnng.... to sing this soooooonnnng..." By the time he got through it once, everyone in the general admission area was singing it. By the second time around, the whole place was singing it. And like that, the Irish foursome were back on the stage to play the song themselves. It was the best concert I'd ever seen!

And to you sphincters out there who post your moronic "Bono sucks" or "U2 is sh!t" comments, don't waste your time... I will just thumbs down your remarks and they will be hidden and no one will read them.

To my mind, "Achtung Baby" remains their best album by far, and the two last songs on it - "Acrobat" and "Love is Blindness" - are especially great. I'm admittedly not a huge fan of what they did after that - I thought "Zooropa" was OK but nothing special, and I found much of what came afterwards ("Discotheque", for instance) downright annoying. But in the late eighties and early nineties, they really hit their stride.

I've never seen them in concert. I imagine "Where the Streets Have No Name" would be the perfect song for them to open a gig, however - such an epic intro.

I saw them in Denver, 2005. It was a great show!

In (I think) Beautiful Day Bono mentioned it sleeting outside, since it was. When I get a chance, I'll see if YouTube can remind me better.

Favorite song? All of the War album (one long great song). Favorite concert moment that I wasn't a part of? Live at Red Rocks (been there, just not for U2)

I think they are pretty great, the Bono haters can't deal with somebody thinking globally and working to actually do something good. I found his In Concert Preaching pretty inspiring. Happy BDay!

I'm not a big Bono...the public figure fan so I'll leave it at that.

But, older U2 is great. The whole B-side of Joshua Tree I think is some of there best work especially Red Hill Mining Town.

Bad is a great song as well.

A Sort Of Homecoming is my favorite.

I saw a U2 concert last year and it was amazing! They still have it after all these years.

My favorite album by them right now is The Unforgettable Fire, and and I also love The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.

As far as I'm concerned, "Achtung Baby" remains their best album. "Zoo Station" is a personal favorite.
