Why are celebrities/movie stars mostly all democratic?
I have a question about the democratic party. If democrats want to tax the rich and give to the poor as they say they do, then why are all of the extremely rich movie stars democrats? Are they really fighting to tax themselves heavily? Doesn't make sense. Any thoughts?

Because none of them have ever worked a day in their lives. Those who have worked, in other places except entertainment, like Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Gloria Estefan, are staunch Republicans.

For the same reason that many poor, rural Whites vote Republican: sometimes ideology (e.g. on social issues) trumps financial self-interest.
As for why they're Democrats in the first place, my guess is that actors in general tend to be more liberal, and they're exposed to a wider variety of people in Hollywood than residents of Smith Center, Kansas. Becoming an especially rich & successful actor doesn't change that ideology much.

As a conserative who has spent most of the last 30 years as a professional actor myself, I can tell you that most of us, including the stars, once lived a very spartan life -as most artists do. The stars work every day with fellow supporting actors, film crew and extras in whose eyes THEY are the 1%. It behooves the stars to maintain an air of solidarity. As for taxes, those who once lived on 100% of nothing are quite content to live on 50, 40, 30% of millions. That does not apply to people, such as myself, who had conventional employment beforehand, and that accounts for the Republican exceptions to the rule.

"The media" interior the U.S. is rather self sufficient. The hierarchy of newshounds, editors, publishers and letters to the editor make effective that each and every tale is balanced. The concept of media bias exists because of the fact newshounds are required to question authority. Conservatives have self belief that authority should not be puzzled. This dissonance finally ends up interior the cost of a biased media.

I am a Republican..I thought most of them would be Conservative, I mean, they shouldn't have to pay for that guy who is always looking for jobs and is poor simply because he didn't go to college or get an education? It's not our fault.

Because Hollywood is full of people who "dream" instead of reality. Liberals are generally more creative then Conservatives. Sometimes its good sometimes its not
