Most likely the dye. Specifically reds and yellows. I determined I was allergic to food dyes when I eliminated colored sodas from my diet. The dyes were causing me to have breathing problems such as wheezing. Regular asthma inhalers didn't help the wheezing caused by this, The only thing that worked for me was Primatine Mist inhalers because they have epinephrin in them. They took these inhalers off the market, so now I just have to be very careful that I don't ingest food dyes. I recommend switching to vitamin water zero or SoBe Zero since they don't have dyes in them. The color comes from natural juices.
