Pill refill question?
I got my pills on 5/07/12, and its take 1 pill 4 times a day as needed for pain. I'm going on vacation, and the pills are for feminine pain (I have a painful disease called endometriosis where scar tissues constantly grow in the uterus, I've already had to have one ovary removed) and I want to make sure I have enough to last my entire vacation. I want to get them filled this week, but I am not sure if that is too early or not. Does anyone know if I can get them filled around the 14th or 15th?

The pharmacy is more likely to deny refilling the Rx. If you have prescription medical insurance they will say the insurance said no, it is too soon. If you tell them what you said here, they'll say what Eric said. What I would do is tell the pharmacy your purse was stolen and the Rx vial was in it and I'm willing to pay the regular retail cost of it myself. Who can argue that point? You can call other nearby pharmacies for their price for filling the same medication and quantity so you know what to expect

Depends on what you are taking but with your condition you are most likely on an opiate. So let's say your prescription says take 4 times a day as needed for pain. Divide the number of pills you were prescribed by 4 and that will give you how many days you have until your next refill. Are you going out of the country? Some pharmacies out of the country will fill your prescription as long as you have the bottle. If you are traveling within your country you can easily do a transfer to another pharmacy. On a more serious note you should only take the pill when it is absolutely necessary and try Aleve for moderate pain because taking that many pills a day will definitely lead to physical dependence.

If you pick them up once every month, the pharmacy is not supposed to give you more until 6/07/12. I think you can pick them up at any pharmacy (like one wherever you are going on vacation to) as long as you get the prescription transferred.
