I have a 1hr 20min layover in Chicago to a connecting flight to Dublin. Is it enough time to get from terminal 1 to 5 and board the plane on time?

You should be okay, assuming you're on the same or partner airline you should already have your boarding pass and luggage transferred through to Dublin. Airlines don't schedule connections if they don't think you can make it. It's not a lot of time but should be enough if you hustle and your flight into Chicago isn't delayed for any length of time.

You should be able to make it. But you cannot waste any time.

We flew from MSP to Rome. and had to make the same terminal change that you will make. My guess is it took 45 minutes to get to the gate in terminal 5. (We had 2+ hours to make the connection, so I wasn't worried about it.)

There is a monorail called the Airport Transit System that goes between terminals. Time on the monorail is less than 10 minutes.

You will leave the secure airport area, so when you get to terminal 5, you will need to go through security again. This is where you'll spend most of the time.

In case you missed it: You WILL need to go through security again.

Terminal 5 is the main terminal for international departures, so the lines will not move quickly. It's mostly because there will be a LOT of people in line, and many of them don't speak English.

I posted a link below to the O'Hare Airport website. Look it over and plan your route through the airport. A little planning can help you get through as quickly as possible.

    Enjoy your trip!

Residing in an extensive bay, Dublin lies between Howth in the north and the headland of Dalkey to the south and the River Liffey separate the city in two making out of this town an interesting city that you will have the chance with hotelbye to see it. Dublin has given the planet such well-known literary like: Yeats, Beckett, Joyce, Shaw, and Wilde. Dublin was a UNESCO City of Literature in 2010 therefore is surely an exciting city to see particularly when you want to visit Bewley's Oriental Café ;.Several would claim that Bewley's Oriental Café may be the treasure in the crown. Bewley's Oriental Café is an establishment that has been integrated 1927.

Are you serious? When we went to Europe we literally had a ten minute layover. My mom rushed me and my sister on to the flight just as they were closing the door. Our bags got held back but we made it!

Assuming your flight is not delayed arriving in Chicago, you should have plenty of time.

This is not humanly possible. Only if you travel by the hair of a leprechaun. He demands payment in green clovers, so be sure to bring them 'em with you.

That is more than enough time.
