I wont correct them, but I do tell them like it is.
My neighbors 8 year old daughter was always trying to get me to do stuff for her and I told the girl I dont take orders from kids. I put her in her place like I do with adults. I tell her all the time "im not your mom, so go talk to your mom about it"
If that is correcting her, then I guess I do.

Depends on the situation, like with me, my friends kid is always hitting my son, they are both the same age almost 3 yrs, so I do tell him not to hit my kid, of course he doesn't lesten so he keeps hitting him so I got tiered & told my kid to defend himself, he has all the time but ever since my son started bitting on him he has kind of stoped but he always starts bullying my son & hitting him so my son hits back & my friend don't like it & makes it seem as if her son is the victum & she wants me to hit & scold my son for getting hit by her son! NOTTT! I let her know her son is the one who starts hitting my son & yes I tought my son to defend himself,so if he doesn't want to get hit, to teach him how to keep his hands to himself & not hit others! I am always observing them when I am with my friend so I know whats up & she doesn't!
