HasTruth from Spiritual Lessons of the past changed in any way from--?

today's spiritual lessons on Truth.?? See comment of Luther on Truth. Then what say you??

Please Read and tell us what you see in the Churches?Be Nice Please

Opposition is the lot of all whom God employs to present truths specially applicable to their time. There was a present truth in the days of Luther---a truth at that time of special importance; there is a present truth for the church today. But truth is no more desired by the majority today than it was by the papists who opposed Luther. There exist today the same disposition to accept the theories and traditions of men instead of the word of God.The Spirit of the world is not more in harmony with the spirit of Christ today than in earlier times; and those who preach the word of God in its purity will be received with no greater favor now than then. The form of opposition to the truth many change, the enmity may be less open because it is more subtle; but the same antagonism still exist, and will be manifested to the end of time. Do you agree with this

I believe in Luther's day, that the roman hierarchy tried to pull the wool over the common people's eyes by letting it be known they were the only ones capable of interpreting scriptures, so it was a control thing, to have power over the masses to benefit themselves. i.e the selling of indugences, thereby bringing heresies in the church that one could buy their way into heaven and covering up the truth that Christ opened up heaven for us, with the shedding of His blood and taking on wrath of God for all those who believe in Him. and after His resurrection He has become our HIgh priest, making intercession for us, as it was shown while He was on the cross, when He called out."Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

Today some churches preach that God is love and therefore people call for the tolerating of sins, but today sins are still sins, which seperates us from the Lord God, and we still need to acknowledge that Christ is still our Redeemer and that we need to repent of our sins and acknowledge christ suffering for us, and ask forgiveness with a contrite heart and humble in spirit. It is by His power that He is able to make us children of God.

People like Luther may not have had the best doctrine; they may have been legalistic is some areas, but much of that served for good structure. I don't know of any doctrines of Luther or Wesley would put anyone in a ditch or steal a person's joy.

The cults and teachings nowadays that are humanistic or lacking in fundamental doctrine were not started from Luther and Wesley. Some of the modern day teachings are "mass people oriented" and put lower expectations on the listeners so that there's a false ceiling; it mutes God's voice; it does not encourage a person to listen to God's voice to press on in bold ways; instead is a homoginized mix of Christianity and culture.

Christianity would be better if we were to more study the Jewish roots of the bible, know the culture and the times, and personally learn to be allegiant to Israel and the Jeewish people. Univeralism doesn't boldly say so, but the ways of Universalism have the same results as "replacement theology"; where the grafted in vine is more the everything we see, and regard for the natural vine is ignored, and Israel, the root is not so much regarded.

It's like gentile believers view the bible and all of the Jewish people as a jar of jelly beans, picking out Jesus out of that jar and now culturizing the belief of Jesus in a gentilized way.

We visited a church that my wife said, "this seems like a cult". They repeated many of the same phrases over and over. I'm not saying for sure, but it sounds like there are suspect problems there. People can repeat even the higher glorious phrasee that when they communicate they sound like parrots; but they are very polished. The more the polished and spokesmen type people like that speak and write, well, personally I felt like what can I say to say something that would be something they haven't already heard. I went away from that and had my relationship with God where I knew he had been in my life. But it's like this Universal movement wants the vehicle already built; they are in communities where they did not labor or cultivate, but they sing high praises and are "good spokesmen"... but as of yet I don't see any miracles being performed through them or there being any Holy Spirit moving where the Spirit is passed on one to the other. Very subtle and fine sounding. I spent a lot of time with it, all to find no wellspring fruit; or put it this way... I just didn't see it.

There is and always will be (in this present age) opposition to the Truth. But the opposition comes from all directions. We have the unbelieving who love being their own god, denying Christ who shed His blood for the remission of sins. We have the religious moralist that will claim salvation by grace and put a "but" right after it by saying that we "must" keep this and this and that. And we also have the ones who make Grace into licentiousness or a license to sin by saying that because we have been saved by grace then we can do WHATEVER we want regardless. By the way... I think every true Christian, if we are honest, can say that we often have to repent of the above statements in our own lives often times. Thank God for His Spirit who reveals these things to us! The Truth is that we are saved by grace...PERIOD. No "works" before or after has anything to do with it (read Galatians 3) We are saved "unto good works" (Ephesians 2:10)

God's Law is THE perfect standard, the reflection of the character of God that is so high that no flesh can be justified in His sight. But as Paul said in Romans 7 the Law is GOOD. It shows us that we will never measure up and when we realize this, God offers us Hope. His Son who came to pay the penalty for sin that the Law demands. When we trust in Him and HIS perfect sacrifice, then His perfect life of obedience covers us in God's sight. We are MADE righteous IN CHRIST. THEN as new creatures IN CHRIST, He delivers us from the power of sin. It's ALL God's work!!!! When we realize THIS TRUTH. then we are FREED up to live a life a life of purity and obedience WITHOUT the condemnation that comes with no measuring up to God's Law that we DID have when we came face to face with it as UNBELIEVERS. As Luther said ( I think it was Luther) God doesn't need our "good works" but our neighbor does.

Truth cannot be bargained or ransomed. In some of the churches today they would have you sacrifice some of your beliefs to fit in to a church.I tell you God will not condone any such behavior, and sadly a lot of people will be misled because of it.We are on the verge of the 6th trump. This will be a very confusing, and trying time for those whose faith is not strong! The antichrist will use certain church doctrines to mislead the body of Christ.Do not be deceived by these doctrines, if they are not written in the bible then they are not from God !

Religious truth to me doesn't change. Truth is that which was true yesterday, is still true today and will be true tomorrow, forever and ever, a sure foundation upon which we can build our house or our life.

Yes, most of the world doesn't really want the truth, they just want to know if they are good and acceptable. They want polite political correctness. We who share our convictions often get stones thrown at us, but because we know rather than simply believe, we are not hurt or affected by their persecutions. Truth really does make one free for it is independent of what anyone thinks about it.
