Er...it can't be overturned. There are only two ways: Amending the constitution, or having the supreme court reverse its decision by making a contrary on a current case.
We wont be doing the former, and there is no case up at all concerning the latter. And since there are alwaready 5 conservatives on the supreme court, who have not once tried to overturn it (Remember: teh supreme court chooses which cases to hear. So its entirely within their discretion and no one else's.) we can assume its still considered quite correct.

Saying it should be a state issue is silly. 9th and 14th amendment of the Constitution protects it. Also, illegal abortions was a death sentence to poor women. People still had abortions- rich people had unlisted, after-hours appointments with their doc, and poor people had back alley abortions. Making abortions illegal didn't reduce their frequency, it just increased its lethal nature to women.
Let's let people be racist and not let black marry here, and lets let people have 3 wives over here. (sarcasm)
It is called the UNITED STATES, not the loosely joined states.

States' rights is an quaint and antiquated concept that is clung to by states that want to do things that they know are wrong.

I really do support a national abortion policy over a policy of "Either flee your home, suffer through an unwanted pregnancy, or die in a back alley trying to end it yourself."

It would probably require a constitutional amendment. The Supreme Court really does not like having to go back and reverse its old decisions.

Nay, I was an adult when it was approved, and I would rather NOT see repeated what was a fairly common occurrence at that time.

Rights of women over their bodies should not even be a issue to be discussed. Nor is it a state's vs. federal issue.
