Different ways the abortion pill is given? -a curious study?

I have a question. I have been doing research on the Abortion Pill for quite some time now, (for personal and school reasons both) and I pretty much have found everything I need to know, want to know, etc. The only question I do have, that I haven't been able to find the answer to maybe I can find here. I've noticed that the abortion pill is given differently based on clinic's. The pill sites themselves say 3 pills first visit, 2 pills second visit. Planned Parenthood sites, say 1 pill first visit, and you take the oral 4 pills 24 hours later. A few womens clinic's say 2 pills first visit, and 2-4 pills second visit or at home. So I am really curious as to a few things. A: is this method all that effective if it can be taken so differently based on Clinic's? Is the out come the same, percentage wise despite the different ways of taking these pills? And why would the pills be given differently based on clinic's? Most medications I believe are all taken the same way, for doctors office to doctors office. So something this .. big .. for your body to go through, why are the ways of taking this so different?

There are 3 different medications that are typically used for medical abortion. Different clinics have different combinations of 1 or 2 of these drugs.

When I had a medical abortion, I took one pill of Misoprostol at the clinic. 48 hours later, I took 4 pills of Mifepristone at home, by putting them against my gums until they dissolved. This is probably the most common method, though some clinics have you put the Mifepristone in your vagina. The gum method is becoming more common, because it's just as effective but has fewer side effects. The abortion begins within a couple hours of taking the Mifepristone. It's 95% effective, and the earlier you do it the more effective it is.

The second method is a shot of Methotrexate at the clinic, but it can take weeks for the abortion to be completed.

The third method is Methotrexate shot at the clinic, followed by Mifepristone at home, which does speed things up.

I've read the Methotrexate methods are slightly less effective. The Misoprostol method is newer, and faster-acting, so Misoprostol + Mifepristone is slowly replacing Methotrexate methods, as far as I know.
