Mats Zuccarello-Aasen. I've heard that he's too small, he's not that fast, he can't fit into Tortarella's "system", ect, ect. Last year in 42 games, he had 6 goals, 17 assists (23 pts.) and was a +3. Not to mention he also had 9 assists on a powerplay that couldn't do anything and he had 2 game winning goals, count them 2. And averaged a little ovver 14 mins a game. This year, he was sent down after 3 games (hardly enough time to thoroughly evaluate a player's performance) but when he returned, in seven games and limited ice time (about 10 minutes a game) he had two goals and an assist, a pp and a game winner. And, Tortarella has said before that if you don't block shots and play aggressive, you don't play well the little guy blocked a shot and fractured his wrist. Granted, with the emergence of Kreider and of course a healthy Dubinsky and obviously Hagelin Zuccarello doesn't really have a spot on the team but the kid has worked his butt off, done everything he's been asked, worked on his game and never complained. And given that Torts likes to run two offensive lines and two defensive lines Zuccarello needs top six and there's not much of a need for a playmaker on the wing since Richards and Stepan are both classic plamaking centers and Callahan and Gaborik play on the right side, I'll be surprised if he's a Ranger next year. I like him because he's small like me and it's cool seeing the little guys do well. Clearly he's capable of handling the NHL but by the way some Ranger fans describe him you'd think he's terrible. Clearly he's not.

Alex Sulzer. When he came to the Sabres, he was that 6th defenseman that was the extra piece of the Kassian for Hodgson deal. However, he ended up with 3G 5A and a +2 with the Sabres, and he really helped Christain Ehrhoff while they were on the same pairing.

Tomas Holmstrom. Everyone says "He's Old, he can't skate.". I LOL at that because Holmstrom HAS never been known for his skating abilty. He is known for standing in front of the opposition goalies and screening them. And even though they guy literally ducktapes his legs every gameday because he knows he's going to get whacked good, it works. So I don't get why people don't like him. He's a Key Role player guy.

Tyler Kennedy of the pens. He doesn't get the ice time he needs. He had a career year with last year with all the injuries moving him up. He shoots too much but in my opinion we need more shooters
