2 year old too young to get some teeth removed?

My 2 year old daughter has 2 teeth that are decayed almost down to nothing...Anyways, Brought her to the dentist and he says he needs to extract them, while she's numbed..it just seems to me that she is too young to have any teeth yanked...The dentist said how she is old enough, but I was thinking of getting a second opinion. I thought I'd ask here to see what I'd come up with...Anyone else out there gone thru this? Is there a less invasive way?

Update:

I do not give her all kinds of sweets, I brush her teeth at least 2x a day...I believe the decay happened because she still nurses, and sometimes at night. I no longer do it at night anymore though. Other than the breastfeeding, I do NOT give candy or sweets often. I was kind of surprised that her teeth were getting so bad.

Tooth decay is 100% preventable. Brush your childs teeth before bed! Do not put them to bed with a bottle or sippy cup of anything other than water.

She is not too young to get her teeth pulled. Leaving decaying teeth in her mouth is dangerous as the infection can spread further than the teeth and can cause serious problems if not death.

If the teeth are rotted down to the gums, then yes.

They could continue to rot out and infect the other teeth / worse start infecting the gums / and worse case scenario infect the bone

How does a 2 year olds teeth get so bad to begin with? No more sugary treats, water down her juice if you have to give it to her, and brush her teeth at least twice a day. Start flossing as well

She'll need this. It is not my place to judge parenting, but that should not be happening at the age of two. The reason she needs this is because cavities can lead to infections.

there is not a less invasive way- and it's your fault for not minding her teeth better.
