defining foods of the states - USA?

just a question i've been wondering about. is there a food that can be said to be defining of each state? maybe better stated as what foods symbolize a certain state. I know it is true for some, maine has its lobsters, wisconson has its cheese and idaho has potatoes but what about states like arkansas? for some the dishes might be more regional of the state, like the buffalo wings of new york.

Filling in any of the list is greatly appreciated, thank you

Wow, that was a little bit more than rude and actually having a list of the states is helpful so that none are forgotten.

    Illinois - Chicago Pizza!

    Georgia peaches (oooh, peach cobbler...yum!)

    Florida oranges

Louisiana of course has it's Cajun flavors.

Rice is actually Arkansas' major crop (makes me want rice pudding, haven't had that in ages)

Traverse City, MI is home to the national cherry festival every July.

Nebraska of course is corn related foods.

When I think of California I think of the wineries there.

    Texas brings to mind steak.

    Boston baked beans?

Maryland (and other New England states) for the clam chowder that I can't have lol (shellfish allergy)

Hawaii makes me think of pineapples.

For Montana, I'm gonna go with burgers and steak as ranching is a pretty big way of life over here.

"fill in any... here are them all"

Vermont: Maple syrup, cheese (cheddar), apples

And Maine is also known for Blueberries

Arkansas has sunflowers, so sunflower seeds?

Wow, I am so glad you print a list of states otherwise we wouldn't know what they were. Duh.

Washington - Dungeness crab, geoduck, Olympia oysters

Oregon - Hazelnuts, hood strawberries, wild salmon, marionberries,, point noir wine
