2. no human will have to undergo dumb plastic surgery to become like a human barbie doll

1) If there were no toys (including barbie), the self would be more important. Children would reverse their interest on themselves rather than a second person.
2) Imaginary relationships with non-living things (barbie) would have been absent.
3) It would be difficult to understand the anatomy of humans. One can explore the toy (barbie) in depth, you can't do the same with a living being.
4) It wouldn't have made much difference. Our fore-mothers lived their lives without such dolls. They treated their daughters as dolls and nourished them with love and affection.

Really, I don't see that there would have been that big of a difference because if it hadn't been Barbie it would have been another doll to do the exact same thing, so really, nothing would change.

Other doll companies would actually have a chance to market their dolls without Mattel sueing them all the time like it always does to maintain it's Queen Of The Hill status.
