My cat keeps pooping in my living room.?
I got my cat a few months ago and he's very adjusted to the house. He knows where his litter box is and uses it daily. I clean it out very often. But recently he's been pooping in my living room. The first time he's ever done this was when no one cleaned his litter box and he hasnt done it for a while after that.
We bring him to the spot he pooped in and made him see what he did.
We cleaned it and sprayed cat repellent and we put him in time out. I don't know what to do anymore.
Does anyone know what I could do or why he might be doing this?

wash the area whether it be a carpet or washable floor with washing powder what you wash your clothes in. Do not use bleach as it contains ammonia just similar to urine. Then watch your cat and every time he does this lift him up and put him in litter tray. If he disobeys you just spray him with plain water from a spray bottle and he will soon learn. The water spray will not hurt your cat and after a few times he will eventually get the message.

try the spray bottle---sometimes if my kittens are climbing on the furniture i have to do this---pick them up and introduce them to the litter box ---that's how my mom and i did it it's working out great now they are successfully trained!!!!
