Is there some video player that can pause at specific bookmarks?

I need a piece of software that can pause, or show a loop when a point in time is reached, and then I can continue it, you know like a PowerPoint presentation, but with video. I also need that application to support projecting. I know that this is possible in flash, but it's very time consuming, and I don't have that time, and projector support isn't that great in flash.

    What you are describing is exactly what Microsoft PowerPoint does.
