When do builders typically add insulation to the attic?

My house is supposed to be finished by the end of the week, but I went up into the attic today and there isn't any insulation. At what stage in the building process is this usually installed? Should I ask the builder about it or just wait until this thing is supposed to be completed and check it then? I don't want to look like an idiot asking if he forgot about the insulation, but I don't really want any delays either.

Usually the last thing to go into the roof space - don't worry it's easy to retrofit if he's forgotten. If you're worried, just ask...it's going to be your house and the customer is always right.

i could could circulate with the blown-in, thinking what you have in there at latest. The blown-in will blend up with the old and canopy the completed spacing. to no longer point out that todays products are more advantageous over the insulation of old - such as you reported yours is!! i could be careful to no longer get it too a strategies over the edge of the domicile and block any air infiltration - you already know you like some up there. I did mine approximately 3 years in the past, and a lesson I discovered replaced into to have a effective length piece of plywood up there to get on, and a rake to tender it out - plus a easy with an extension twine to be sure each and every of the crannies you're capturing for. Yeah,. do no longer forget approximately a paper facemask (WalMart-much low-priced) and long sleeve shirt - it may desire to be uncomfortable, yet no longer as lots through fact the coughing and scratching in case you do no longer use them. 2 people make this job circulate quickly, one to feed and the different to shoot. good luck.

It is one of the last final touches they do after working in the attic areas, they need the room and visibility to finish all the other work that goes on up there.

It's added when they are done up there. Like putting all the coils around etc. I hate that insolation stuff. Itchy.
