there is a law in north carolina that says that you can't tie an elephant to a parking meter.
you talk a good game with your water food soil and air are so tightly regulated that nothing is changed--of course you will be eating something that will make a pig puke because you will have no job, and won't be able to afford anyplace to live but in a skin tent. You're kids will die of disease because you eliminated the ability of society to make drugs.
Some regulations are necessary--as a manufacturer of chemicals--you don't have a clue with respect to the thousands of uncessary regulations which do nothing but ensure the regulatory agencies have work to do and increased funding--
If you weren't talking out of ignroance you'd realize that EVERYONE agrees some regulations are necessary-however thousands of regulations are totally unecessary--they simply exist to give greater power to the agency and thus increase the agency budget. Until you actually do the reasearch and look at the thousands of uncessary regulations in our lives--your just another person with a big mouth and no brain.

In some states you must go to school and be licensed to braid hair or do interior design. This is a regulation to keep the competition out.
It hurts the public by distorting the market.
But we have laws to protect people who are harmed by peoples actions. Why would everyone be punished for the actions of a few.
When regulations grow, freedom diminishes. Regulations give the people less options and higher prices.

Many cities in California, starved for revenue and unwilling to cut back bloated bureaucracy, have required commercial property owners to inspect the rainwater running off their buildings.
Despite the numerous regulations already in place regarding toxic emissions, containment and disposal...property owners must spend thousands of dollars on these new inspections. This money goes to an entirely new bureaucracy staffed with life-time government employees with guaranteed pensions.
When these inspections failed to turn up any substantive results, did the cities eliminate them and thus save property owners the expense.....or did they create MORE regulations to justify their jobs?
not hard to guess....right?
After several "clean" inspections (and about $10,000 in expense) the city told us that we had high levels of zinc in our run-off.... Please note there is no existing standard for what constitutes "high" zinc levels... Because of this ANOTHER regulation on zinc is being drafted as we speak which will require MORE inspections and ANOTHER layer of bureaucracy.
Zinc, by the way, is a by-product of galvanized metal......which is one of the most common metals used in building construction. So please tell me where the "abuse" to justify all this additional expense occurred?
...so you asked for "one"...got dozens.. and as usual, your school-yard response is "so we should get rid of ALL regulation and drink toxic water..huh....huh?"
...see...this is the reason that, even in nature, there is a distinction between "workers" and "drones"....
