A question about veterinary practices?

Hi Everyone

I was just wondering what the use of cages in a veterinary practice is?

If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks :)

Their primary purpose is to keep the animals isolated from each other.

But within that, there are several advantages:

The animal is contained in a fairly small space, so there is little chance of them jumping about and tearing stitches.

They are separate from all the other animals so there is no fighting. The cages also tend to be only on one wall, so that the animals cannot see each other.

Being separate from one-another means the animals are less likely to pass on/catch something form one of the other animals.

Each animal habing their own cage means that their needs can be met easily. IF a dog needs a drip. this can be fixed to the door-gate of the cage, Each dog has its own medical notes on thheir cage, so thee is no confusion over which dog is which

I agree with what the others said and will add, that is why it is really important that your dog AND cat are crate trained. So when they go to the vet being in a cage or kennel is not so stressful, it does not mean you need to have a crate in your house that the pet uses daily, just that the animal is trained to it and is comfortable in it, not to mention for a cat going to the vet is safer for everyone if it travels in a crate.

Animals prefer to be on their own after surgery etc so that they can recover. Having a little "den" is good for them. Also it stops them running around and straining themselves after surgery which could result in bleeding etc and it stops disease from spreading.

Most dogs love crates when they get used to them and view them as their little hideaway dens.

Any dog/cat left with the vets for surgery or observation needs to be caged.

i'm supposing it rather is desperate by using means of what quantity calls the particular vet gets and how plenty they fee for whichever wound, photographs, some project. (Assumption: you ought to get some proportion out of that finished vet bill- in accordance to how plenty you help) organic and organic Veterinary Technician sales: $47000.

They use them for after surgeries. The animals are placed in them to recover so they do not interact with other animals.

So what else are they supposed to do with sick animals, and those recovering from surgery. Let them run all over the place?

    Source(s): Common sense.

They use them for before and after surgeries so they do not interact with other animals.
